WIZZYBUG 2017-07-12T16:23:17+00:00

The Thomas Cook Children’s Charity donated £42,500 to Bath charity Designability in aid of their Wizzybug project, which can now provide 10 additionsal electric wheelchairs for under-fives and addresses the needs of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy.

The Wizzybug allows very young disabled children to get their first experience of mobility with a powered wheelchair. Thanks to some clever design features, children as young as 18 months are able to very quickly learn how to take control of the Wizzybug and start exploring their home and outside in their garden or local park.

Designability has set up a loan scheme for the Wizzybug, so that they can be made available quickly and free of charge to those children who require this support.
