Now that December’s officially upon us, we can finally start getting excited for all the magic of Christmas Day. Whether your favourite part is the yummy food, all those classic Christmas songs or spending time with the family, there’s someone who’s always plays a huge part in the big day; Santa!
Every year, we work with local charities to find kids who’d love to take to the skies on the Flight of Dreams, to see if they can spot Santa and his sleigh. Many of these children are poorly and have never been on a plane before, so it truly is a magical experience for everyone involved. Carers, teachers and brothers and sisters often come along for the ride too, and everyone always has a great time, with fun and games, music and food.
This year, we’ll be jetting off from Manchester, East Midlands and Belfast, with around 150 children on each flight. They’ll experience going through check-in and security, but won’t need a passport this time, as we’re only going on a Santa search. Sometimes Santa can be difficult to see through the clouds, but don’t worry; everyone will have a chance to meet him after they land, and he might just have a gift for you if you’ve managed to stay off the naughty list!
